Way back in my early days as a freelance Graphic Designer, when "colour outputs" meant grabbing the colouring pencils ๐Ÿ–๏ธ, I had the privilege of creating a logo for a local Kilkenny institution: O 'Dwyer Insurance on Patrick Street. The company was led by Jack O 'Dwyer at the time, and many local to Kilkenny will certainly remember them. This project taught me that ๐’Ž๐’†๐’‚๐’๐’Š๐’๐’ˆ ๐’‚๐’๐’… ๐’”๐’•๐’“๐’‚๐’•๐’†๐’ˆ๐’š ๐’Ž๐’‚๐’•๐’•๐’†๐’“ ๐’Ž๐’๐’“๐’† ๐’•๐’‰๐’‚๐’ ๐’ƒ๐’–๐’…๐’ˆ๐’†๐’• ๐’๐’“ ๐’•๐’†๐’„๐’‰๐’๐’๐’๐’๐’ˆ๐’š. The focus was always on clear communication. The logo is a simple, abstract motif combining the three initials: O, D, and i for O 'Dwyer Insurance. I added a slab serif and an angled ascender on the 'd' to give the motif a subtle Irish feel. I used three "i" elements to symbolize the client-business relationship of Security, Protection, and Support, with the central, highlighted 'i' representing the client or individual at the heart of their service. Way back in my early days as a freelance Graphic Designer, when "colour outputs" meant grabbing the colouring pencils ๐Ÿ–๏ธ, I had the privilege of creating a logo for a local Kilkenny institution: O 'Dwyer Insurance on Patrick Street. The company was led by Jack O 'Dwyer at the time, and many local to Kilkenny will certainly remember them. This project taught me that ๐’Ž๐’†๐’‚๐’๐’Š๐’๐’ˆ ๐’‚๐’๐’… ๐’”๐’•๐’“๐’‚๐’•๐’†๐’ˆ๐’š ๐’Ž๐’‚๐’•๐’•๐’†๐’“ ๐’Ž๐’๐’“๐’† ๐’•๐’‰๐’‚๐’ ๐’ƒ๐’–๐’…๐’ˆ๐’†๐’• ๐’๐’“ ๐’•๐’†๐’„๐’‰๐’๐’๐’๐’๐’ˆ๐’š.
